Weeyagale screens at BAM Rose Cinema on Monday, May 25! ⭐️ Presented under the banner As The Stars Sow the Earth, this year’s festival reflects on the powerful ways African people across the world transform impossible conditions into cultural, political, ecological and aesthetic life. I’m also grateful that the film is an official selection at BIFA-qualifying @sundshortsfilm where it is in consideration for Best Dance Film, Best UK Short, Judges Recognition Award and Audience Choice Award. For Sisters Who Run follows three members of @asra.club - a UK and Gambia based community centering Muslim women in sports, wellness, and sisterhood - on a shared trail running journey in the Alps. For these women, movement is more than physical - it’s spiritual, emotional, and communal. In a space that often sidelines them, they choose to take up space, on their own terms. This is not a quest for medals - it’s a story about visibility, sanctuary, and running as an essential act of presence. peace dream - micro short film, by ains. shot all in a day, my film ‘peace dream’ urges viewers to transcend the overwhelming inundation of social media and embrace proactive engagement. my intention with this film was to encapsulate the essence of grassroots activism and solidarity through a palestine march i attended one month ago, and to spread further awareness for the tragedies occurring around the world as we speak. i hope this film inspires you to donate - if so, there will be a link in my bio that will forward you to an abundance of resources and ways to donate. song - peace dream by @santandave
