✨ Rethinking Ability Workshop – Thank You ✨
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Rethinking Ability poetry workshop — what a beautiful session it was.
We had such a lovely group, and it was clear how much everyone genuinely enjoyed the space. The creativity, honesty, and openness in the room made it really special. 🧡
From thoughtful reflections to powerful writing, it was amazing to see people connect, share (in whatever way felt right), and take time for themselves through creativity.
We’re so grateful to have held this in collaboration with AGEM, and to have raised funds for Midland Mencap, supporting the important work they do in our community.
This is exactly why we do what we do at AccessAbility Arts — creating inclusive, welcoming spaces where people can simply be themselves and create without pressure.
Thank you again to everyone who came along — we hope you left feeling a little lighter and more connected.
More workshops coming soon ✨

✨Dive into a chill poetry session where we flip the script on what ability really means through words and vibes.
Join us for an inclusive and uplifting poetry workshop designed to bring people together through creativity, reflection, and connection.
Step away from the noise and into a space where you can unwind, express yourself freely, and explore what “ability” means to you. Whether you’re completely new to poetry or already writing, this workshop welcomes you exactly as you are.
There’s no pressure to perform — you can share as much or as little as you like. With gentle prompts, interactive exercises, and space to reflect, this session is all about creativity without judgement.
Delivered in collaboration between AGEM and AccessAbility Arts, this workshop centres accessibility, community, and co-creation. Together, we’ll explore the theme “Rethinking Ability”, challenging perceptions and celebrating different ways of being, thinking, and creating.
✨ Expect:
A relaxed and supportive environment
Fun and accessible warm-up exercises
Creative writing prompts
Opportunities to connect with others (if you wish)
A fully inclusive, no-pressure space
This is a pay-as-you-feel workshop, with all proceeds donated to Midland Mencap, supporting people with learning disabilities and long-term health conditions across the West Midlands.

Shining a light on the introspective visual piece showcased by the exceptional @ifrah.studio at our latest exhibition.
Ifrah’s work explores how skins and bodies can be reimagined into sensorial forms that can interact and inspire feelings of desire yet uncomfortability within the viewer.
By mimicking flesh like forms the work aims to establish a familiarity with the body yet moves further into becoming its own bodily form. The sculpture can be interacted with by the audience via touch.
💕 Stay connected and show her some love @ifrah.studio 💕
