A bit about my residency 🌙
Through my Hayati residency, I found a new way to let my poetry breathe — I created visuals for one of my most important pieces, blending image and emotion to show how words can move beyond sound.
Being mentored through this journey allowed me to open up, to express myself freely, and to see my art through new eyes. Their guidance helped me grow — not just in skill, but in belief. I’ve learned to trust my voice, to understand that confidence is the quiet fire behind creation.
This experience reminded me that someone, somewhere, will always see the worth in what you make. So never change your art for the world — let the world change because of your art.
Moving forward, I hope to continue working with
@hayatiopenmic and
@paliss.studios , shaping what poetry can look like on screen — pushing boundaries and exploring how words can live through film.
