No war. There is no such thing as top-down liberation. The victims were never a threat to us. I suspect that the state and its allies will always accept and justify whatever Pedident Turmp does, because he’s everything they always dreamed of being and doing, to their bones. A power structure that simply kills, steals and says whatever it wants, whenever, however. Power will always seek to destroy any rules that would keep it from growing. I look around my actual, real life, where joy and humor and kindness are absolutely everywhere. Among my friends and most of the strangers I encounter. You can tell these power vampires of the state have no idea what it’s like to love something small and feel joy in service to that small thing. Like getting all the way down on the rug to be on your cat’s level because the cat likes it. Can you imagine? Bringing a bread you baked to an informal thing at your friend’s house. Fussing over an aquarium. Imagine doing any of this and then sitting down at a desk and bombing a school. Do not accept war. Our power state is literally incapable of “liberation.” On Saturday I’ll be performing with my dear friend Carsie Blanton (@carsieblanton ) at Zebulon. The show’s sold out and this isn’t an advertisement. But you should get to know Carsie’s music if you’re feeling despair right now. She’s the clearest voice on real liberation that i’m aware of in the music scene right now. All of her songs are pretty much about that. She is on message, and it feels really, really good to listen. She’s also Jewish, and she’s for liberation in Palestine. She was on the global flotilla bringing aid to Gaza, and she was intercepted and jailed. Her skin is in the game. I can’t overstate how much I admire this woman. Check out her music. The song “Rich People” is a hilarious and brilliant starter pack for your fandom. 💃🏻 It was an extraordinary time. We did the Nancy & Beth Show with Megan Mullally (@meganomullally ) featuring Wood Lord Nick Offerman (@nickofferman ) just as prophecy foretold and it was right. I did a very good almost perfect job actually. I sang the other part of the music besides Megan. I had to sing all of her parts but backwards. The band was chockablock heaped with new friends. I am a particular fan of Petra Haden (@petrahaden ) who sang these whole other parts mostly upside down and with a trumpet stuffed under her shirt probably. Heroic mountains were moved by Andrew Pressman (@_____pressdog_____ ) who is the Band Dad, who made sure we all got a snack and tied our shoelaces, who shredded hot dogs all over the bass guitar without a single eyelash out of place. Further shouts, gratitude and envy to bandmates Mick Utley (@gonnabemeeks ) upon keys, to Ronan Delisle (@armsfullofronan ) upon guitar, Joe Berardi (@joetheberardi ) upon drums, Mario Maggio (@mariojmaggio ) upon horns, and Dylan Gentile (@dylangentile ) upon piano. All of them the rarest pearls. And the dancers. The majesty of dance. Celestial feathers fell aswath the Largo stage in the twinkling footwork of Megan’s dancers, Maddie Skowronek (@maddieskowronek ) and Leeann Ross (@leeannross_ ). No words can be uttered about the woman herself, around whom this mad little top spins, that have not been uttered before. She is radiance itself. The Scribble benefit show on Friday was SIMPLY MAGNIFICENT !! Thanks so much to @pearlandtheoystersband and @adronical for lending their incredible talents to the cause. We were able to raise over $3,600 for our sliding scale therapy program, which provides affordable therapy to over 400 people each month. Thanks to everyone who came out to support accessible mental healthcare and community events!

🍹Are you even ready for this JUMBO NEWS? 🍹 I, your very own wee Dron, will join the esteemed actor Megan Mullally (@meganomullally ) in her, i-cannot-stress-enough, BONKERS live cabaret show “Nancy and Beth.” 🍹I get to sing LOUD harmonies along with her CONSTANTLY throughout the show, meanwhile there are xtreme dance sports which Megan choreographs herself.
