In January I was honoured to see the truly remarkable @yasu.percussion give the world premier of my new percussion concerto at the @rncmlive International festival of brass along side the ever slamming @blackdykeband conducted by @drnickchilds
Yasu is a Buddhist monk and memorised my entire (insanely difficult) concerto by meditating on it. What an absolute legend. His playing tore the room to pieces with its poise, elegance and energy. Thanks, my friend.

Exactly 10 years ago today my life changed. I was honoured to conduct the newly formed @parallaxorchestra along side their goth sibling @choirnoir in a full orchestra metal show with the mighty @bringmethehorizon at the @royalalberthall
Life had the loudness turned down a little after that and I’ve chased that feeling in my career ever since.
I didn’t know 10 years ago that my concert opening Overture would have 40,000,000 views, that I would have worked on so many incredible records, and with so many mind blowing artists and conducted so many orchestras around the world. So I’m humbled and full of gratitude. Big up my fellow music nerds @willharvey1@cestratheportal and @jordanfish86 who helped to make it all possible, and without whom I probably wouldn’t be where I am today.

For the 30th celebration of the Amsterdam Dance Event, marking a 10 years of collaboration, the Metropole Orkest and Melkweg are once again teaming up to host one of the opening concerts. For this special anniversary, the orchestra conducted by Simon Dobson, will be joined by visionary producer, artist and cultural architect Kybba.
