A single - also called Blue Morpho - is out today, with a video.
There’s a short film too, shot in Wales, where much of the album was written, recorded and dreamt up. These songs came out of a dark place, but as Wendell Berry writes, ‘the dark, too, blooms and sings, and is traveled by dark feet and dark wings.’ There was deep beauty and a profound sense of grace in that place.

Jonny is back with @shyebentzur and the Rajasthan Express for their new album, Ranjha, to be released through @world_circuit_records on 8th May 2026, together with first single Ranjha.
Produced by @sampettsdavies and recorded at Jonny’s Oxfordshire studio, Ranjha is the follow-up to the critically acclaimed Junun, which recently had its tenth anniversary.
Ranjha is available to pre-order at the link in profile on CD, download and a special red and coral splatter gatefold vinyl with a limited edition signed print. In addition, Ranjha and Junun come together with a 32-page newspaper zine with imagery spanning the two records and an essay from Jonny about the project.
