I’m incredibly proud to share my new body of work, ’A La Orden (At Your Service)’ which will will be on view this Saturday May 13th and Sunday May 14th, from 12-6pm @pioneerworks . I hope to see you there! - In 2022, I was among 20 image makers awarded with the inaugural @google #ImageEquityFellowship. This Fellowship invests in the next generation of image-makers of color and the expansion of a more representative creative industry. Each Fellow created a photo-centric project focused on the urgent, untold stories of our communities, and mine will be included in an upcoming show entitled #ThroughFireandThunder, supported by @aperturefnd @creativetheoryagency @forfreedoms + @freethework . - “When you visit a Dominican household, you’re welcomed with open arms, and treated like family,” says Adeline Lulo. “Visitors are welcomed with a kiss on the cheek, and conversations flow over freshly brewed cafécito.” This particular sense of warmth and hospitality is the focus of Lulo’s project, A La Orden (At Your Service), in which she photographs intimate scenes of the interior life of immigrant families who have migrated from the Dominican Republic to New York. Images of walls and shelves adorned with family photos, flowers, and reliquaries tell a rich story of past and present, while portraits of family and friends are captured with care and reverence. Lulo, who herself has roots in Washington Heights, the Bronx, and the Dominican Republic, sees this work as a love letter to the Dominican community. “This is my way of giving them their flowers,” Lulo says. “By sharing these stories and images, I hope to create a space for reflection, conversation, and healing for the Dominican community, while preserving a piece of Dominican history for future generations.” - Image 1: Mamá. 7.27.2025 — today, i got baptized 🕊️ Jesus met me in darkness; heartbroken, anxious, and overwhelmed. I felt defeated, isolating myself and drowning in pain. Desperate for peace, I cried out for Him to reveal Himself, and He did. I surrender my life to Christ, declare Him as my Lord and Savior, and choose to walk in obedience. By December 2024, He led me to a church where I could grow, heal, and use my gifts to glorify Him. Today, I made a public declaration of what He’s already done within me: Jesus has saved me, forgiven me, and given me new life. manita, cancún, méxico, march 2024. kim, trixy, roselyn & i came together to create a project that embodies the essence of our sisterhood, the love, connection & unbreakable bond we share. we poured our hearts into this collaboration, with trixy & roselyn as the stunning muses in these photographs. our sisterhood is more than just a friendship, it is a sanctuary where we celebrate, empower & uplift each other, especially during life’s challenges. we are gentle, kind, patient & affectionate with one another, always reminding each other of our beauty, strength & power. we inspire one another, serving as mirrors & reflections of our growth, resilience & love. through this sacred bond, we experience the true meaning of love, a love rooted in understanding, support & genuine care. we are always so proud of each other, celebrating every milestone & achievement as if it were our own, always giving each other our flowers, and sharing the best belly laughs together. @nike x @houseofhoops x @uninterrupted came together to make the “More Than An Athlete” AF1 sneaker to highlight those who use the game to reach beyond it and inspire movement. Two weeks ago, we flew out to Houston and got to know some of the foster and former foster youth at Depelchin's Children Center for a very special collaboration with Clint Capela & House of Hoops. It was such a spine-tingling feeling to see and hear them share their stories in such an intimate setting as they voiced their experiences and found commonality with Clint Capela, also a former foster youth. They spoke within each other about what it feels like to be labeled as something less than what you truly are and how to live beyond them. The energy was so beautiful and moving. It is truly inspiring to see how resilient, humble and talented you all are. It was a pleasure getting to know all of you, seeing your many talents, being inspired by you, creating with you and enjoying each others company - My heart is so full!
