Every once in a while I do get out with the ol metric halo remote rig ;) always had a thing for capturing live strings since my days recording film scores and new music ensembles at Manhattan Center Studios. Recently, I had the privilege of remote capturing an astounding new ensemble with @brent_arnold called Night Heron Quintet, live at the @bushwickstarr theater! ā¦dangerous and highly trained assassins - all five of them!

Had to make some room in the racks, and these interfaces were real hard to let go of after 18 years together. Letās see how many of you will say that about your Apollos haha.. UA may have the marketing muscle, but they aināt known for their converters. 18-year old, 3D upgraded ULN2/2882 boxes are still my favās for tracking/mixing/summing outside the DAW, and have held their own as flexible interfaces routing AES around the mastering studio up until last week. Now using their flagship LIO-8ās for Atmos and monitor control, and will be for another 20 years Iām sure!
