It's rare that I do live sound, but here I am prepping for some middle school and high school jazz before tomorrow's gig. I borrowed this mixer from my buddy @benbernsteinmusic just like I do every year for the same gig. If you're recording person who doesn't do live sound all that often I have to tell you that this mixer is so damn intuitive. Props to Alan & Heath for the SQ series.

In this episode, Matt welcomes mastering engineer Steve Kitch. Steve shares his journey from early music programming on home keyboards and classical piano training to building a worldwide mastering practice from his studio in Devon, UK. They discuss the transition from transferring DAT tapes to CDs, being an early adopter of online file delivery, and the evolution of a professional audio career through self-taught exploration and technical curiosity. Reply in the comments, "USB"and I will send you a link for the waiting list sign up. WCA Volume 01: The Founding Sessions The Definitive 2014–2015 Archive LIMITED EDITION I’m looking at doing a strictly limited physical run of the first 53 sessions/episodes of Working Class Audio on custom USB cassettes in traditional Norelco boxes with J-cards. This archive includes: * Remastered Audio: All 53 sessions have been leveled and polished for a consistent, ad-free listening experience. * Searchable Transcripts: A master index that lets you find specific technical or business advice across the entire archive in seconds. * Host Commentary: Includes extra digital assets and my own personal commentary on the early days of the show. * Hand-Numbered: Each unit will be hand-numbered and include a personal thank-you note from me. I'm currently finalizing production numbers. If you want a copy, get on the waitlist now. Those on the list will get the first chance to buy and the best available price. No commitment yet—I just need to know how many to make. Targeting a price point of under $85 for this archive. The idea being that I will produce future limited runs of all the years. Here's my photo dump from working with @amiepenwell and @v_for_vicente at @sharkbitestudios this weekend. Super productive session. Great people, songs, studio, and tools. Such a winning combination. And a special shout out to Robert Kirby who popped his head in at the end of the day, as I was wrapping cables and said "hey dude, do you want a hand wrapping cables and cleaning up?" I got home much earlier as a result.
