At the top of the year, I got to spend time with
@saniebokhari in LA during her inaugural solo show: How to Hold a Wild Thing shown at
@rajivmenoncontemporary .
She told me about the balancing act of being a mother and being an artist - the guilt and beauty of expressing yourself while creating and raising a person from scratch.
As the son of an artist mother, the sacrifice they make isn’t lost on me.
I got to spend a week with both mother and wild thing and really saw the immense time and energy she put into both sides of her identity.
