Very overdue big-love post for @brittensinfonia1 following conducting their #MagnumOpus launch @barbicancentre #MiltonCourt. I was secretly hoping more photos of the evening might surface given I fully neglected to take any, my mind too fixated on microtones and metric modulations 🤪
It truly was a privilege to conduct the premieres of three such special works by @_toby_anderson , @amycomposer and @jonathanwoolgar . I had the best time collaborating both with these brilliant composers and with the incredible artists of Britten Sinfonia - so much musicianship, dedication and daring flying around. Sharing a stage with this material and these musicians, co-building-and-building the electric atmosphere that evening, was an absolute blast - thank you for having me 🔥♥️🔥
