Big day for me …
Had my first test match at @panamboxing as a finisher to beginner sparring
I don’t think I’ve sparred in about 6 years and alot had happened to me since then
I developed a crippling #autoimmunedisease a few years ago and have struggled daily with my health since then.
I’ve also aged and I’m rounding the corner of my late 40’s which is not optimal in boxing
But I signed up because the fight isn’t over and I’d be so sad if I just quit in this community - boxing has been part of my survival for many years and it’s something that I genuinely love ❤️
Big shout out to my partners today - you’ve been a delight to train with and appreciate you so much
And thank you to my coaches - your patience and guidance made this camp something really special for me
Also congrats to everyone that participated this month - boxing is something that millions admire but so few actually do - you’re a rare gem and you’re shining brightly right now
