Yok & Sheryo - Psychotropic Eden
Yok & Sheryoʼs artwork is symbiotic with their life of travel and adventure. Their art exists in “Yeahnahnesia,” a fictional tropical island with rich, made-up tales of mythology, deities, philosophies, religion, animals and landscapes and a ton of archaeological treasures yet to be found. They weave their unique brand of cultural syncretism into irreverent, riotous, mixed-media paintings, murals and sculptures. Most recently, they have been creating frivolous “temples” and “shrines” that provide humorous commentaries on societyʼs mercurial lifestyles.
Originally from Australia and Singapore, and NY-based for 10 years with street art roots, the duo has exhibited and painted in various countries around the world including ArtScience Museum (Singapore), Gare St.Sauveur (France), Baandam Museum (Thailand), Coney Island Art Walls (USA) , Wynwood Walls (USA) curated by Jeffrey Deitch and “Magic City” (Munich, Dresden and Sweden) curated by Carlo McCormick.

Tangi Street Art Festival 2026 Artist Lineup
Introducing our sixth line-up for Tangi SAF 2026: Yok & Sheryo @_theyok@_sheryo 💫
For the first time in Tangi’s lineup, we welcome an artist duo. Yok & Sheryo are interdisciplinary artists with roots in street art and graffiti, originally from Australia and Singapore.
Their work is bold, playful, and often irreverent, spanning murals, paintings, sculptures, and experiential installations. Through their practice, they explore personal narratives, identity, and cultural exchange, often drawing from contemporary folklore, mythology, and cross-cultural influences shaped by their travels.
Their world, often referred to as Yeahnahnesia, reflects a unique universe where cultures collide and stories take on new forms.
Stay tuned for more artist announcements.

From their previous presentation in Singapore, Yok and Sheryo’s (@_theyok@_sheryo@yokandsheryo ) lightbox originates from their larger 𝙆𝙖𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙡 installation. The lightbox is now on view at 𝗦𝘂𝗯𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲, the ongoing group exhibition at Cultprint.
While once embedded within an immersive installation. The lightbox carries forward the work’s ethos and invites viewers to engage without urgency, to arrive without agenda and to linger without guilt. Echoing the original installation’s use of materials like bamboo as metaphors for impermanence, it continues to challenge the myths that equate rest with laziness, slowness with failure, and wonder with wasted time. It offers reminder to pause, a moment to breathe, and to remember the fleeting nature of all things.
