185.5kg / 409lbs - Commonwealth Record
This one meant a lot
Having torn my pec and SC joint in 2023, and it taking 18 months to get back to full health & strength; finally being above my previous best means the world to me.
It being a commonwealth record was nice bonus as well.

First international in a while and had a pretty good day; coming away with the win, bench gold, commonwealth bench record and deadlift bronze while leaving a fair amount in the tank on squats and deadlifts.
@peejskwaats & @pottsthinks your the best, can’t thank you enough 🙏
Thanks to @paul.foran.64 , @marshcoaching and the @epapowerlifting coaches for the game day handling
Onto the next one🫡
Luxembourg Open Invitational 🇱🇺
Came in with pretty low expectations for this one after a few injuries in prep, but pleasantly surprised by how it turned out. Still plenty of positives to draw from the day - excited to see where things go this year.
Massive thanks to @here.is.james for the opportunity and @440training for handling (and getting me to weight when I showed up to the venue 1.2kg over) and all the @epapowerlifting coaches; @coachjoshinman@charlietmoore@lottiesliftingjourney@archie._pl@coggles_fitness@peejskwaats thank you for everything boss
@pottsthinks thank you as always 🙏
@tmc.pl@jasonwulifts pleasure to see and compete with you boys again🫡
Home Nations 2025🏴
Tough day with the bench opener being overturned and missing my 3rd pull but probably the most fun I’ve had competing in a while
Plenty of things to be optimistic about looking towards Jrs
Thank you as always to @peejskwaats & @pottsthinks 🙏
And thanks to @here.is.james , @joefeeney98 , @paul.foran.64 for the opportunity and handling 🏴
And @highperformancebu for the continued support

Commonwealth recap for 3 battalion barbell athletes.
@_theogoff - 9/9 day, a stacked class, Theo and the English played a great game, came away with the win, a commonwealth bench record. 🥇

@jessicacontifitness - u63, finishing 4th, Jess also went 9/9.
🏴
Breaking into the 400kg club and jumping up on her nomination.
150 / 90 (+5) / 165 (+5) - 405 (+12.5).
@amy.craig_ - 8/9, 6th place, Amy’s miss came from missing the rerack on the opening squat, they proceeded to go up and crush all her subsequent attempts.
A bit of a breakout meet for Amy, and lots to come,
160 (+2.5) / 90 (+5) / 180 (+10) - 430 (+25)
Huge thank you to the team England and Scotland coaches
@epapowerlifting / @scottishpowerlifting
@_theogoff got roasted in his British juniors recap. (Soz about the caption issue at the start 😖)
This time around he didn’t get sniped, made a solid 3rd pull, secured the win 🥇 and got a spot for team England at the upcoming commonwealths in South Africa!
Theo is set to compete next week and he should ball out 🤝💅
#battalionbarbell
@_theogoff this one’s for you broski.
Some lessons learned this prep, and step by step we are bringing things together.
Theo works his socks off, and the next meet to follow is Commonwealth ((yes his English championships recap is coming too!))
Ps his foot is fine and he was uninjured!
