(2/2) Lighting concept designs with @studio.raito for @wakinglife.pt Floresta Stage
We designed five concepts exploring otherworldly atmospheres, shifting the environment from one night to the next. We focused on visually expressing Floresta’s diverse sonic landscape for an immersive audience experience.

(1/2) June 2022 - Set design for VCA BFA Dance production Theatrum Botanicum, choreographed by Gregory Lorenzutti.
This work aimed to re-awaken the senses to seasonal rhythms, biodiversity and plant knowledge; to honour and dance with plantlife.
The set included 120+ live plants on kinetic ‘islands’ which began as one mass, then revealed themselves as 3 separate forms through the dancers’ negotiation of the immersive space.

(2/2) June 2022 - The set design also included 3 sheer columns made from hand-textured fabric using the traditional Japanese Shibori boiling method. These were activated by dancer interaction, projection and handmade light pendants which mimicked seed pods. Here are some pics from rehearsals 🌱
