Jaladé, founder of The Ryze, creates with openness. He is an interdisciplinary artist-curator whose practice operates in the space between creation and curation. His work spans performance, facilitation and gathering, treating sound as material for shaping shared environments.
Aladé has performed and developed sound programs for cultural institutions and festivals across North America, including the Hammer Museum, Red Bull Media House, and Vancouver Mural Fest, Public Disco, and Brownies and Lemonade. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a minor in Music Industry from UCLA and a Master of Design (Interdisciplinary) from Emily Carr University of Art + Design.
An African creative director and DJ, Losso™ works across design, music, and spatial practice. He serves as Creative Director and DJ at The Ryze, with a practice rooted in Afro-descendant heritage.
Born in 1995, his work spans typography, branding, and environmental design, grounded in an ongoing exploration of translation across ideas, histories, and form.
He has performed in institutional and cultural contexts, including the Vancouver Art Gallery, as well as Bleach Studio and other independent venues.
Kristen Liston/kikino is a Vancouver-based DJ and sound curator from Tepic, Mexico. Her taste is eclectic and considered, moving fluidly between genres. At The Ryze, she supports programming development, artist selection, and shaping the conceptual and relational frameworks that underpin our listening sessions.
