The NIGHT GARDEN begins in golden hour and deepens into the night, flowing from melodic and deep house into tech house, progressive, bass house, and late-night sounds like techno, psytech, and sluthouse. The NIGHT GARDEN lineup brings together a special evening of queer and femme DJs guiding the dancefloor through a magnetic and immersive journey from sunset to sunrise. Calling all creatives, event organizers, movers and shakers in the music scene! 🗣️🎙️ We are wrapping up our SHIFT series with a friendly community mixer before the closing party - the pre-party if you will. This evening social is a chance for us to come together, reflect on our achievements and the challenges of throwing shows here, and share ideas about the future of dance music in our city and beyond. Come hang out, have a bite, and connect with other folks in your local dance music scene! At the mixer, we will be launching our Resonance zine, a collection of writing, artworks and photographs documenting the journey from our very first party up to now. Copies will be available alongside prints of past event posters and the first collection of diy Resonance t-shirts. Our dear friend Jules, known to many as @popup_polaroids and Resonance Dad, will be showcasing a collection of Polaroids featuring images captured across dozens of different dance floors over the past few years. We will have some snacks and drinks by donation, and a DJ set from kū•mai•mi @j.s.ngenda to ease us into the night. Treating our ears March 21st: @aenniae_ ÆNNIÆ (Anya) approaches DJing as an act of exploration and synthesis, shaped by decades of obsessive music collecting and a deep devotion to the dance floor born in dark, sweaty clubs in Scotland. Drawing on influences from the prairies to the UK to the West Coast and beyond, they gravitate toward drum-forward, percussive rhythms, gritty low-end, heady atmosphere, kinetic texture, and moments of euphoria, often leaning into the hybrid areas between genres. Traversing styles instinctively off feel and energy, they seek to create a sonic space that moves you and makes you sweat. As a co-founder of Resonance Collective @resonance.vic on Lekwungen and WSÁNEĆ Territories, ÆNNIÆ is dedicated to connection through music. They have shared lineups with Canadian-based talents like SIM, softcoresoft, efemme, Hrdvsion, Shanx, IHA, Mood Change, Njoki Njoki, Khotin, and Sergio SP, as well as international artists Hodge and softchaos. They’ve performed at festivals including Memetic (MB), Wonderment (BC) and Samsara (BC). Since 2021, Resonance Collective have been throwing events focused on innovation and emerging talent, including their current event series SHIFT hosting artist workshop/talks ft. national and international artists; former monthly Depot residency platforming local and emerging talent; and collaborations with crews such as Gateo (Van), Eventide (Vic) and Winter Arts Festival (Van). 🎟️Tickets available through link in bio!

Resonance is taking over RUSH! @resonance.vic DJ’s @aenniae_ + @scree_running are representing the collective for an evening of deep, playful, heady, psychedelic & euphoric house, techno, and trance, plus a few (guilty?) pleasures 😈 PULL UP! 🔗 in the bio 🔗 Resonance Collective is a tight-knit of group DJ’s, music producers, promoters and friends operating night and day on unceded Lək̓ʷəŋən Territories. Initially conceived in 2021 as a channel to throw parties their way, they combated a noted lack of diversity and representation within the local dance music scene in Victoria by throwing gender & genre diverse dance music events with a focus on quality of sound, artistic integrity and support for emerging artists & community safety. Highlights include the the presently underway SHIFT event series (each event featuring a combo of artist workshop / talks and a club night from national and international artists). The defunct DEPOT series (iykyk). And too many nights at Hermann’s Upstairs to count.  Here, Runt emerges from hibernation seeking to deepen her exploration of ecstasy, euphoria and catharsis. After months of rest, Runt has been collecting shiny things to share on the dance floor. Through trance from past, present and future, Runt aims to take you deep into the night, to release and to dance. As a founding member of the Resonance Collective, she’s been able to grow as a DJ thanks to the support of her friends and likeminded DJs, seeking to bring a diversity of sound to this city.

Scree Running is a Vancouver based DJ and Producer, known in equal parts for their hypnotic, emotionally charged, playful, genre agnostic and heady DJ sets as they are for their highly personal productions which span club-ready releases and experimental sound design. Their tracks have been either played or covered on platforms like NTS, Keep Hush, Subtle Radio & Mixmag, and they have shared the stage with acts like Nikki Nair, Ciel and Piezo.

Guided by feeling and motion, they’re drawn to colourful, heady atmospheres, stimulating textures, and energetic rhythms.
