Taras by Lupone is PM003, and we are so happy to release it. This is supremely imaginative music, steeped in dance music histories and operating in hypnogogic worlds entirely of its own invocation. There's drama on a macro, full-scale level (each track is persuasive enough to bring a dance floor to its knees), and an xtra-rich amount of detail to plumb inside of that framework. Resonance is taking over RUSH! @resonance.vic DJ’s @aenniae_ + @scree_running are representing the collective for an evening of deep, playful, heady, psychedelic & euphoric house, techno, and trance, plus a few (guilty?) pleasures 😈 PULL UP! 🔗 in the bio 🔗 Resonance Collective is a tight-knit of group DJ’s, music producers, promoters and friends operating night and day on unceded Lək̓ʷəŋən Territories. Initially conceived in 2021 as a channel to throw parties their way, they combated a noted lack of diversity and representation within the local dance music scene in Victoria by throwing gender & genre diverse dance music events with a focus on quality of sound, artistic integrity and support for emerging artists & community safety. Highlights include the the presently underway SHIFT event series (each event featuring a combo of artist workshop / talks and a club night from national and international artists). The defunct DEPOT series (iykyk). And too many nights at Hermann’s Upstairs to count. Five years later, now incorporated as a non-profit, Resonance continues to weave and nurture a mycelic web of underground connections in the city.  Here, Runt emerges from hibernation seeking to deepen her exploration of ecstasy, euphoria and catharsis. After months of rest, Runt has been collecting shiny things to share on the dance floor. Through trance from past, present and future, Runt aims to take you deep into the night, to release and to dance. As a founding member of the Resonance Collective, she’s been able to grow as a DJ thanks to the support of her friends and likeminded DJs, seeking to bring a diversity of sound to this city.

Scree Running is a Vancouver based DJ and Producer, known in equal parts for their hypnotic, emotionally charged, playful, genre agnostic and heady DJ sets as they are for their highly personal productions which span club-ready releases and experimental sound design. Their tracks have been either played or covered on platforms like NTS, Keep Hush, Subtle Radio & Mixmag, and they have shared the stage with acts like Nikki Nair, Ciel and Piezo.

[ ⇧ ÆNNIÆ ] ÆNNIÆ approaches DJing as an act of exploration and synthesis, drawing on influences from time spent in the prairies, the UK, and the West Coast. Guided by feeling and motion, they’re drawn to colourful, heady atmospheres, stimulating textures, and energetic rhythms. Ecstatic to welcome @pleasuremgmt co-founder, @resonance.vic boss dog and wonk specialist @scree_running to the label with a stunning EP Single out this Friday

In collaboration with @fluxmediagallery , I am hosting a weekend long music production session november 29th-30th !! ALL levels of production experience are welcome; ALL genres are welcome; all DAWs are welcome. I (scree running / matt howells) have 10+ years of experience sitting in-front of a laptop producing music across a variety of genres, and will be there to work with you (both 1 to 1 and with the group) in overcoming any creative / technical challenge that presents itself. At the end of the weekend, there will be a bandcamp release bearing the fruits of the session (the track you made!) made available to yourself and the public. The fee for the whole weekend will be $120, but if cost is an issue, indicate this in the application form as there are a couple of sponsored spots available. Poster by @bri_jemm 🙂‍↔️
