(no) Pause is a performative exhibition designed by Shuyi Alice Wang @shuyi.alice combining installation, movement, and live jazz music. In the wake of Samuel Beckett’s Happy Days, Alice responds to the question “how to live in this unmoored time” with her grandfather’s words: “I only need to do exactly the same as yesterday.” The work loops every 24 minutes, repeated three times. This exhibition was shown on 23 April 2026 at 6pm in the Studio Theater at Central Saint Martins, London, as part of Scenoworks.
