We’re going into the next round at pudel Sundays - this time on a special date!
This sunday, we have the honor of closing out the legendary Hafengeburtstag with a journey through a night of jungle music. Once again pushing the boundaries of breakbeat culture and bass music with experimental production techniques and otherworldly sounds.
Our residents will be joined by N:in for a night ranging from from old school jungle to IDM.

with an omnivorous approach to every fibre of soundsystem culture, low end activist revels in the alchemy of sample manipulation and bass pressure across the hardcore continuum. from the earliest mutations of breakbeat and jungle to the sleek bump of garage via dubstep’s half-time meditations onto grime’s volatile riddims, this is a project steeped in reverence for the formidable force inherent in uk dance music culture.

with a strong passion and love for sub driven music and heavy basslines, she’s become a steady part of the northern bass front. her musical aspiration is to break with the stale construct of subgenre boundries by celebrating a multifarious bass music culture, making more room for a diverse, safe & inclusive space - not only behind the decks, but also over the speakers and on the dancefloors. especially her uptempo selections are fueled by various styles and influences, always blending in some footwork, halftime & ravy jungle treats.
n:in
n:in has always been attracted to dystopian sounds and unusual rhythms. sometimes more on the soft side, sometimes completely distorted, she likes to explore different genres and connect them through sounddesign or harsh contrasts. maily inspired by modern, dupstep influenced club-, deconstructed and experimental approaches.

The collaboration between Rully Shabara and DJ Die Soon unfolds as a ritual of visceral percussive anomalies, threading voice through an apocalyptic scenery for a trance evoking night to come. Staying with the collisions of the human and the machine, highly energetic drumming joins urban synthetics within Nihiloxica’s colossal soundscapes. The stage becomes the dancefloor, or vice versa, adjoined by DJ besties pq b2b Spooky J and ultimately immersed in sonic retaliation by N:in’s recurring presence.

A special improvised session by Morphine Records artists Rully Shabara and DJ Die Soon. Against a backdrop of improvisation and twisted imagination, DJ Die Soon’s horror- and manga-inspired dystopian landscapes are populated by characters created through Rully Shabara’s explorations of the human voice. A unique encounter with an open ending, like the cliffhanger in your favourite recurring nightmare.

Nihiloxica exploded out of Kampala in 2017 with their groundbreaking fusion of Bugandan drumming and UK bass on the then new label Nyege Nyege Tapes. The band explores the darkest depths between two separate cultures of dance music, uniting abrasive club electronics with raucous percussive energy. Fresh from the studio, they will be showcasing their new material on this April run of dates in Europe.

'Das Ohr zum Sonntag' continues with Gyrofield playing on March 1st - the 4th installment of our club connoisseur Sundays at Golden Pudel Club.
The Hong Kong based artist is becoming a distinctive force on the global club circuit, with widespread praise accelerating their growing influence within dance music. Since discovering electronic music via online communities as a teenager, gyrofield has followed curiosity and inspiration into disparate musical territory, exploring the realms of drum and bass, techno, ambient, pop and free jazz, bending recognised genres into bold new forms. Fuelled by an unrelenting drive to push boundaries, their digital productions become moody and introspective through IDM experimentation, jungle breakbeats, melodic synths and chopped vocal samples – as showcased on recent releases with XL and FABRICLIVE.
