@jacksteeledirector ! TLDR: It has been a great joy working on this series, changing but staying true to itself. Six years ago, @ziamandviwalla joined the Chef’s Table team, directing the incredible Asma Kahn episode. She’s been a regular ever since, also directing on the BBQ and Pizza seasons. This season @screenaustralia supported Jack Steele’s director’s attachment on Zia’s Noodles episode with Peppe Guida. Oscar-winner @raykazehtabchi took the helm for the Nite Yun episode, filming in San Francisco, Stockton, and Cambodia. @clayjeter came back for Guirong Wei’s Biang Biang noodles, looking at how food travels, UK culture, and amazing traditions from China. @brimcgi was on the tools for Evan Funke’s story in LA and Italy, and of course on everything across the seasons. The strength of the show is not just in the subjects and their stories, but in the incredible group of people who come together to make it. I am thankful to work at a company that sees strength in diversity @boardwalkpictures , and understands that knowlege and opportunity need to be shared to thrive. Huge thanks to @thisisdavidgelb for making all this possible, to @afriedboardwalk and @danelillegard for bringing me in, to @galluzzagram for supporting my dream of going on the road to be part of this, to Jack Steele for sharing your story, @jamaxted for everything, and to everyone who was part of this season. It’s an incredible journey, with so much more to come!

On October 2nd, we'll launch the latest season of CHEF'S TABLE, focused on noodles from around the world. As always, there aren't nearly enough slots for me to feature all the amazing people I'd like to celebrate (in this season alone, my preliminary casting list had over 40), but for the first four episodes on this theme, I wanted to explore noodles near and dear to my heart — dried & fresh pasta making traditions from Italy — as well as break new ground for our show, by celebrating the incredible traditions of China, in particular the Shaanxi province, and dive into the lesser known foodways of Cambodia. I've been visiting @peppeguidachef and @rossellaguida17 for years, thanks to @faithwilli (obvously) and I couldn't be more delighted to share Peppe’s story with the world in this season. A maestro of working with dried pasta, some of the best of which is produced in the nearby town of Gragnano (oh hi @pastificiodeicampi ), Peppe creates some of the most amazing pasta dishes I've ever tried. I was lucky enough to know his late wife, Lella, who welcomed me into her and Peppe's family in a way that changed my life. Be prepared to book your trip to the Sorrento Coast as soon as you finish Peppe's episode; it's worth a long journey.
