At the beginning of this year,
@timkirch gave me a call and asked if I’d be interested in heading down to Mexico City with
@vacationing from
@thestartinglinerock to shoot what would become the album cover for their first record in 18 years. For someone who grew up with this band in constant rotation, it was a no-brainer.
In early March,
@vacationing , his wife
@linavasoli , and I flew down to CDMX, exploring the city and photographing its beautiful architecture and iconic locations, all of which would become the foundation for the album packaging, and now, the music video for the song “I See How It Is.”
I’m incredibly honored to have had the opportunity to shoot the photos for this album rollout. As the proud child of immigrant parents from Mexico and El Salvador, this project felt deeply personal, a full-circle moment that couldn’t have felt more right.
