In less than a month, I get to marry the love of my life. Prior to asking her to marry me, I promised myself I would walk/run 115 miles from Tucson, Arizona back to Phoenix. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Being alone with yourself for that long, isolated, and in pain, taught me a lot about myself. You have time to reflect on your mistakes. Every mile breaks you down more and more until you are at a point where there is no hiding from the stories you tell yourself on a daily basis. It reveals all and separates your ego’s desires from what your true self really needs.

When choosing my groomsmen for my wedding, I knew I had to continue the challenge. To be honest, it was most likely the only time I could/can convince any of my best friends to attempt something like this. So I asked my 22 groomsmen and best friends to walk 30 miles in a single day (without training... I don’t recommend this).

Last week, @tannerradcliffe walked 30 miles on his own prior to leaving for a tour. He was the first to complete the challenge. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Saturday, 12 more of my friends completed the challenge hiking the entire South Mountain range plus an additional 7-mile walk.

The next morning @dirkmai and @iamerichalvorsen walked 30 miles of the PCH. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I couldn’t be more proud of these guys. This was never about me, just a chance for them to do something that seemed impossible for themselves. I hope you all can see yourselves a little more clearly now. I love you all! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
