Introducing FILM, formed in 2021 by Joe Reinhart (Algernon Cadwallader, Hop Along) TJ DeBlois (A Life Once Lost, Halfway To Holland, Like Lions) & Ken Vasoli (The Starting Line, Vacationer). First single, “Roundabout” out now. Debut record, “Permanence” comes out May 22nd on Lauren Records. These initial sessions were tracked in Spring 2022 at Headroom Studios, Philadelphia, originally intended as a demo. In a tragic turn of events, our dear friend and drummer TJ DeBlois suddenly passed away in January 2023 at the age of 38.
After a period of bereavement we, Joe & Ken, picked up the task of completing these recordings to properly honor our fallen brother and immortalize his shining final performance. The result is this very raw and personal album.
FILM remains united in loud music, and have subsequently recruited the decorated drumming expertise of Chris Wilson (Hammered Hulls, Ted Leo and The Pharmacists, Titus Andronicus) to complete the 3-piece.

It would be IMPOSSIBLE to DREAM up a better way to end to an already amazing year. MAJOR THANKS to all the SPIRITED TSL-HEADS for an UNBELIEVABLE 2-night SOIRÉE in Philadelphia, culminating at the positively ENCHANTING Fillmore PHL. You all didn’t have to go that HARD for us, but YOU DID! Simply could not have done it without our INCREDIBLE CREW/TEAM and SONIC COMRADES who have joined us this weekend as well as throughout 2025. The Starting Line’s first album in 18 years, ‘Eternal Youth,’ finds the band reconnecting with their formative influences but also embracing the influence of some bands that took off *after* TSL went into hibernation, like Title Fight, whose frequent collaborator @willyipmusic produced the album.
