We've worked with some amazing artists over the past few years, and we want you to share how wonderful they are with you! When this artist reached out to us, it felt like fate. We were looking to upgrade our little spaceman on Lost in the Sauce, and who should get in touch but Lost Astronaut, asking if we could work together. Fraser (he/they) aka @_lostastronaut , is a Glasgow-based artist and designer who creates rich, vibrant worlds inspired by fantasy, sci-fi and nature through bold character-driven illustrations and playful design. Like a match made in heaven, we subsequently worked together to update another of our labels, this time for Cocoa Cannonball. And if that weren't enough, we joined up a third time at the start of 2026 for our sapphic hibiscus and lemon gose Super Graphic Ultra Modern Gose. If these weren't spectacular enough, Fraser also designed our very special No AI logo, which you can now find on all of our cans (cause Fuck AI).

In February I spoke at @scottishcreativenetwork , chatting through my ‘illustrators survival guide’ on my journey so far a creative working commercially for 10 years now (😮‍💨😳!?) Advice I wish I'd been given, tidbits, stories and resources! If anything it both calmed and heightened the imposter syndrome. I think you always feel like you're still figuring it all out, but I'm also much more of an expert than even I really realised. A massive thank you to the boys, @differentlightphotography @grubb.creative – for the space they've created at SCN, and the amazing community it attracts, and thank you to everyone who showed up and gave such kind words of encouragement - it was such a pleasure!❤️ I've been a busy boy the last few months, I'm hoping to find a way to share some this all down the line, along with some more of what I've been up to. PAINT IT PURPLE | CAMPAIGN & MOTION I had the pleasure of working with the fabulous team at @lgbtys to create the visual identity for their annual Purple Friday campaign raising funds to support the brilliant work they do for Queer Youth across Scotland. For 2026 the theme was "Paint it Purple" – we developed a playful new identity, toolkit and series of assets to encourage schools, youth groups and businesses to engage with the Campaign. I feel incredibly proud to be able to contribute something to my community, and hopefully take part in spreading a little queer joy as LGBTQ History Month comes to a close. ❤️🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ So if you can, this Friday 27th – Make, Create, and Share the love, and if able, donate to LGBT Youth Scotland. 2025 was so much fun, here's to doing it all over again – please and thank you! 🫶 Late to the 'wrapped up' trend, but better now than never. I hate celebrating 'wins' so this feels incredibly uncomfortable - but I'm very proud of myself this year. Rounding out the year with a wee post - fair warning it might get a little sappy. 🥹 This has been my first full year freelancing full-time, and my god it's been a ride. For many it's been an incredibly difficult time, feast and famine galore in a way only freelancers can know – and it's been hard to navigate at times. I'm incredibly fortunate to have worked with some truly amazing people, new clients, exciting new projects and ventures that I would never have forseen a year ago - thank you for your trust and support! 🤘 I feel incredibly proud of myself to say I've survived the year, even though it's felt rough at times, and built an amazing community around me of fellow freelancers, designers, artists and illustrators that have kept me sane and upright through it all. And also since joining @inkygoodness @inkygoodnesscollective , introducing me to fellow creatives across the world, motivating, encouraging and learning through challenges and talks – I feel incredibly lucky to have met and been supported by more brilliant, talented people. And of course, to my wonderful partner for putting up with me, through all the joy, stress, tears and celebrations ❤️ It really feels like some momentum has built up now, solidifying what I do and how I want to move forward in the year to come. 🍺 Dripstone Ginger Beer – All Natural Alchemy 👹 A concept packaging identity, crafting an alchemy-inspired brand for a brewery run by Goblins. From making my own home-brewed ginger beer, I thought it would be a great excuse to brand it up.
