For Glasgow. For Life.
Some new brand work from the Jamhot studio for Glasgow Life.
Operating a diverse range of landmark venues including The Burrell Collection, Tramway, Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museums and GoMA, alongside the city’s libraries and sports venues, Glasgow Life is the charity that exists to serve the people & communities throughout the city.
We partnered with the Glasgow Life team to develop a new brand line that brings the charity together under one united vision & purpose.
A custom font was created for use across the organisation and a new visual brand system designed to bring things to life.
This was a great project to work on and we’re proud to have delivered a piece of work like this for our home city.
A little drop of Downpour. The last design project to launch from the Jamhot studio this year is a festive themed treat.
We worked with the team at @northuistdistillery to design some mini versions of their iconic Downpour Gin bottles and wrapped them up in some beautiful foiled Christmas crackers - the perfect way to get drenched in festive flavour.
New Season. New Design Work.
This is our 17th year working with our friends at Glasgow’s @trontheatre So as the new season brochure launches, we’d like to send our heartfelt thanks to everyone at the Tron, past & present, for putting their trust in us for so long.
The First Drop. Some new design work from the Jamhot studio.
A very special release from @northuistdistillery as they introduce their New Make Spirit to the world. Each drop crafted on their Hebridean island home.

Pink Chaos
Lovely to work with Craig and Graeme at @thisisjamhot again on @thelewsdistillery latest release — a fruity wee number that caused an explosion of pink chaos for everyone (and everything) within a two-foot radius. 💥🐈⬛

From Land. To Hand.
We’ve been busy working with our friends @northuistdistillery to help them launch Uist Whisky to the world.
The stills within the historic Nunton Steadings distillery are proudly producing the New Make Spirit that will soon start to be aged - with each drop of this special spirt born from the island. From the ancient bere barley grain grown by local crofters to the soon to be built island maltings, every drop is crafted on their Hebridean home from land to hand for an authentic taste of Island Life. Distilled.
We worked with the distillery crew to create a new website home for whisky and a founder’s club identity that launched last week - allowing eager whisky lovers to support the distillery by purchasing some of the very first bottles that will be released in the future. We’ve also been designing some new labels and packaging for some new products that will be on sale soon.
There may or may not also be a new whisky bottle design in the works… time will tell.
It’s time to rise. New brand work from the Jamhot studio for @thefreedombakery
A refreshed brand & website for this pioneering social enterprise, celebrating a decade of Freedom. Founded back in 2015 to provide employment opportunities for prisoners on their release, the bakery exists to raise ambitions & lift people up instilling a renewed sense of purpose while baking the best bread they possibly can.
Thanks to Matt and the Freedom team for working with us, and to our friend Mark Seager @simplephotographyltd for the excellent photography.
Some new work from the Jamhot studio for Highland Grain.
Last year we were approached by Highland Grain with a very interesting project - developing a brand for their unique cooperative of 75 family farms to better reflect and celebrate malting barley’s standing as the vital starting point for Scotland’s single malt industry.
It was a great challenge, one that we were only too keen to take on. As part of the work we spent a lot of time visiting farms across The Black Isle, Inverness and the Highlands getting to know the people and stories behind the barley - before working to develop a new visual & verbal identity that brought the story of the cooperative to life.
To celebrate & elevate the grain, and the families that dedicate their time over years and generations to grow this vital product, we created a cinematic brand film voiced by Rosie, a member of the younger generation - giving the world an insight into the iconic region where these farms combine their efforts working together, for the grain.
We’ll be posting some of the work soon, but to celebrate the launch of the new Highland Grain website (which you can have a peek at on the link below) this week, here’s a little look at the film.
Thanks to our friends & partners @pretendlovers for all of their help in bringing the film to life, to Rosie for being a total star recording her first ever voiceover session and to Dave and Graeme Pacific Audio for VO production.
A huge mention has to go to Calum at Highland Grain, who put his trust in us to deliver this important piece of work for the cooperative and who gave himself over fully to the process at each and every stage. It was a true collaboration, one that was a pleasure to be part of. Thanks also to Martin, the cooperative board and all of the farmers who welcomed us into their homes & businesses during the process - most of them probably (definitely) laughed at us attempting farm & field visits wearing highly unsuitable Converse shoes rather than wellies (lessons learned).
