“JUJUBA” by me.
Like many other creatives, I fell victim of feeling jaded with my art. Days become months, months become years, your passion starts to feels more like a “job”, and before you know it over a decade has passed and now you’re looking at yourself in the mirror asking, “Do I really love this?”
Last month, I did a little soul searching in NY. A trip that was meant to merely give me a two week mental reset ended up lasting a month and did so much more for me than I could’ve imagined. My luck of being surrounded by friends I consider family, from both LA and NY, the passion, intelligence, motivation, creativity and love that I was immersed in reminded me of why I didn’t choose a more secure career. I reminded myself that I do in fact LOVE. THIS. SHIT.
Passion and Patience, words I learned from my first stint 12 years ago at @thehundreds where @bobbyhundreds had written a blog post about it. This has always stuck with me. Dreams never die, you just gave up. Be humble, surround yourself with friends who love you, give back unselfishly to those who love you, learn some patience, and try harder.
This project is an homage to my favorite film of all time, Oldboy by writer/director Park Chan-wook. A reminder to myself to foster the energy of the 16 year old kid that fell in love with movies.

as above, so below. a humbling sight. caught in the silence, my sanctuary. nothing matters in this moment. I no longer have a body. just my heart, my mind, and darkness.
