@everybootyparty 2016 was one for the books for me. It was an otherwise pretty awful year, one of my closest friends had just passed, my beloved dog of 15 years passed, another very close friend got terminally ill, politics hit a dark low, and by December I needed vocal surgery. Music literally saved my life that year, as cliche as that sounds. @theworldofhifashion got the golden opportunity to perform at the acoustically perfect Brooklyn Academy of Music, along with a solid crew of wildly talented creative queer people in my hometown of New York. My high school best friend was in the audience, my best NY friends were there, and most of my incredibly supportive extended family was there-I do not take this kind of homecoming lightly. It makes me emotional today just thinking about it. I’m so grateful to be once again a part of the #Everybooty team for 2018, with such an insanely talented lineup that I’m fangirling so hard right now. I can’t wait to DJ during NY Pride this year Back home. See you very soon 💗
