Words are simply not enough to express the amount of gratitude I have for my past four years @juilliardschool . I have grown tremendously as an artist and even more as a person. Juilliard has a way of showing you what you are capable of and I’m in awe of what it has done for me.
Thank you to @starl.a for getting me together! Your mind and eye for movement is something you only come across once in a lifetime. I remember our first rehearsal, watching you turn my small thoughts and ideas of what I wanted into a masterpiece. MIND BLOWING! The way you understand and embrace artistry has inspired me to always go for what I want no matter the challenges. On top of being booked and busy, you took the time to create something for me that I will hold dear to my heart for all time. I couldn’t possibly leave Juilliard without a piece from Starla Edwards! You have something special in you and I’m so grateful to be apart of your circle. I’m so happy that we’ve grown closer over the years in NYC. You were my friend from middle school on, but now I proudly call you my sister! 🥹🫶🏾
Thank you to @rachelxlockhart for honestly everything you’ve ever done for me. Time and time again you have pulled through for me. no matter how big or small the situation at hand is, you are always there right by my side. From the moment I decided on doing a new creation for my senior solo, I knew you had to be involved in some way, shape, or form. Knowing that your schedule is packed, I knew it would be tricky to have “full” rehearsals. Did that stop us? HELL NO! It gave rehearsals every night after you lit up the Broadway stage. My heart will always be tethered to yours no matter the distance. I am eternally grateful to call you my friend and my sister. Through thick and thin, I know I can always count on you! 🤞🏽🔐

I cannot believe we are finally here. Opening night of @prisma_works Origins at @baryshnikovartscenter . I cannot tell you what an amazing job this team has done to make this show truly special and unique. All these artists are bringing so much of themselves to the work and absolutely tearing it up. I couldn’t have pictured just how insane this show would be when we began. But am so grateful to everyone for throwing all the ideas in the pot and making some SAUCE.
