Technical skills:
- audio engineering (mixing, editing, tuning, hearing every little gross noise your mouth makes)
- production (making beats, composing for voice and instruments)
- songwriting/toplining (pop, alt, R&B, singer-songwriter etc)
- electric and acoustic guitar (contemporary/jazz)
- piano (contemporary/jazz, and classically trained when I was a kid)
- voice (in order to be a better vocal producer and sing your ooohs and aaahs)
- reading and writing charts
Business skills:
- live event production (curation, planning, technical)
- grant writing (successful applications to Canada Council, BC Arts Council, Creative BC, Music BC, FACTOR and others)
- music industry knowledge (royalties/rights, deals, programs, who is nice and who isn't 😏)
- social media
Other:
- vibes
- professional unprofessional backup dancer
- taking photos of you on the red carpet
- bachelor's degree in civil engineering
- remind you to wear sunscreen
