Iâm so excited to announce the first ever PARTING PARTY! This is a community event with prizes including this beautiful custom mic from @ohmaworld
Parting Party is a community event celebrating all the cool stuff everyoneâs making with my pedal Parting! This event is specifically for Parting users; we want to explore what this particular pedal can do in the hands of the community thatâs already formed around it.
All you have to do is submit a short video or audio using Parting! Iâll react to submissions live on a YouTube live stream and viewers will vote on their favorites! We encourage you to vote based on:
- my live reactions
- creativity/originality
- emotional impact
- chaos and humor
Three community-spotlighted submissions will receive prizes:
- First prize is a one-of-a-kind Ohma Microphone to match Partingâs original artwork
- Second prize $300 gift card to Perfect Circuit; a great place to get Parting if you want one! @perfect_circuit
- Third prize will be revealed in an upcoming YouTube Short
Submissions will be completed through a Google form that you can find here: https://forms.gle/hqZReKLsEnX1nYPz7
We are looking for submissions from the community who use Parting in a creative way! If you own a Parting pedal:
- Your submission must feature Parting prominently, and if itâs not a video, include a description of how you used it
- Video submissions are HIGHLY encouraged
- Video or audio submissions accepted featuring your favorite original song, sound, texture, or experiment with Parting
- One submission per person
ORIGINAL CREATIONS ONLY â any copyrighted and AI generated material will NOT be shown
âRough-around-the-edgesâ submissions are absolutely welcome - donât worry about making something polished and perfect
Please note submissions canât be longer than a minute â if what you made is longer than a minute, clip your favorite section!
The deadline for submissions is June 4, and the Party will be on June 11! For more info, refer to the Google form for rules upon submission.
Imagine opening a mic case and seeing one of these beauties staring back at you𼚠Thank you to all who placed an order this week - we are so stoked to get these out to you!
I have been on a multi-month quest to find my preferred technique for recording a vocal and guitar at the same time. I think I finally cracked the code thanks to ribbon mic, a small diaphragm condenser, and a J45.

Pretty special night for us.
We were thrilled to bring out Ohma Microphones to help capture an incredible performance by @choirchoirchoir and @officialsarahmclachlan in support of music education through the Sarah McLachlan School of Music. @sarahschoolofmusic
Thousands of voices filled the room singing âAngelâ together, raising funds for a program that provides free after-school music education for children and youth who might not otherwise have access to it.

So this dreamy moment happened⌠Sarah Palma playing Chopin on a piano that has been in Charâs family since the 1800âs (or older)! This was recorded with two Windows Ribbons. No processing. reverb, EQ or anything. The mics really capture the unique character of this quirky piano and Sarahâs effortless playing, brings us to another time.

How rad is this?! Cerritos College Commercial Music students got to design their own Ohma mics for their school studio and make each one their own. I mean, what school lets students design their own mics? Obvs, the best one. Huge thanks to Dr. Maz!
