In honor of Womenâs History Month, weâre highlighting some of the inspirational ladies of Leadville who show us what Digging Deep really means.
Speaking of history, 2025 was a year for the books due to these monumental performances in each of the Leadville Trail 100s:
Â
@kateplusfate broke a 10 year course record with her time of 6:48:54, becoming the 2nd woman ever to ride a sub-7 hour Leadville Trail 100 MTB. She bested the impressive time set by her 2018 Cape Epic partner, Annika Langvad, back in 2015.
Â
@_flowpow_ broke eighteen hours for the first time in the Leadville Trail 100 Run, bettering a mark set by Ann Trason over three decades ago in 1994. Impressively, both Flower and Trason finished second overall in their record years.
Â
We canât wait to see what these two superstars accomplish next!

Jenn Lichter vs Anne Flower
@kt_asmuth hosts a race recap with @jenniferlichter & @_flowpow_ with a play by play of the day and you donât want to miss out on the BTS of the historic performances!
Jenn is a Missoula, Montana-based trail runner stepping into her 100K debut after establishing herself as a fearless, high-intensity racer at shorter distances, now racing with Nike ACG. Anne is a Colorado Springs-based ultrarunner known for her strength and composure in longer events, newly racing with HOKA.
Together, they break down how the front pack formed, when the race shifted from controlled pacing to all-out competition, and what it took to keep pressing through the final miles with less than a minute separating first and second.
They also share the real details behind fueling, hydration, and decision-making under pressure, then look ahead to Western States prep and how each of them plans to train, preview the course, and carry momentum into the next start line.

The Leadville Trail 100 in 2025 was Dr. Anne Flowerâs first ever 100 mile race and she not only broke a 31 year old course record, but also became the first woman to finish under 18 hours. For this ER doc, running is her hobby to ârelax!â Congratulates to our 2025 Ultra Runner of the Year, Dr. Anne Flower!

Western States bound.
Newest COROS athlete, Anne Flower walked away from Black Canyon 100K with second place win, and a shiny ticket to Western States. With a focus on racing smart and fueling well, she was able to push the pace going sub-8 hours and finishing ahead of the previous course record time.
Huge congrats, @_flowpow_ ! What an incredible performance to kick off the trail season.
Black Canyon 100k Fuel
Gels, drink mix, water, simple.
I picked up 3 N2 gels and 2 N2 bottles at each crew station.
Used aid stations for water and some electrolyte mix.
Practiced consistency from the start. Kept drinking. Felt strong. Stayed cool. Ran relentlessly

2026 is off to a running start. I was nervous and excited to race such an impressive group of women. I focused on self care- fueling and footing. Felt strong and consistent throughout, but couldnât quite catch @jenniferlichter . If there is someone to take second to, Iâm happy it is her. Punched the ticket to Western States! Already looking forward to Canyons.
Stoked to be part of the @hoka team.
@never.second kept me going (No GI problems)
