2 years ago…. TESTDRIVE: an album by Reg Mason was released. At a point in my life where I was surrounded by depression, the uncertainty of my future as an adult, and a bunch of other personal issues, music became not only an escape from those troubles, but gifted me a voice to express myself in a way I never could with words. Reg was one of the few people in my life that understood that same passion for music and was the first to take a chance on me when I started producing. Throughout the summer of 2022, what started as just making some rap joints out of my childhood basement slowly formed into us crafting a project that was a callback to our upbringing as well as a sonic mood-board for our future. Along the way we met @nookifyoubuck and his vision helped create a whole movement for this album in a way we couldn’t even imagine. And we’ve been making history ever since. Much luv to everyone who lent their time and attention to this and anything we’ve made so far. Thanks to the other producers and artists that help build TESTDRIVE with us to be what it is today Eternally grateful for Reg letting me talk my shit with these samplers n keyboards Thank you God for this gift of art 🫡
