Thank you for letting me experience things most people would never get to. Thank you for letting me into your private moments with family, friends, your business and yourselves. Constantly surrounded by inspiring people is very motivating. Thank you for a beautiful year of storytelling and I look forward to what we can create together in 2025. 🙏🏻
Five years 🎂
Sixty percent of small businesses don’t make it to five years. Most wedding vendors don’t make it past three. I think about that a lot and feel very proud and grateful.
Building Creative Haus has never been without its challenges. This space can be hard to navigate, the noise, the comparison, the increasing ego, and the very real disrespect and dismissal that still gets directed at content creation as a craft. The “pointing an iPhone” and editing is the easiest part- it’s the surrounding skills needed that no one sees that defines your longevity.
Heres what five years and working alongside hundreds of people taught me, and honestly, it surprised me:
The most successful and talented wedding vendors. The owners of billion-dollar businesses. The “cool girl” creative directors. The top models.
The people I assumed would have the most ego were actually the most respectful, kind, and collaborative people I’ve worked with. They aren’t the loudest in the room. They lead with conviction and that’s exactly why they are where they are because they understand that who you are as a person and how you treat others is your reputation and that every single person in the room contributes to their success and longevity.
Those who lead with ego, dismissing others and asserting dominance, tend to reflect insecurity more than actual calibre.
What has made me is the people who were none of that. The kindest brides who trusted me with the most important day of their lives. The founders, creatives, and brands who genuinely valued the craft. Five years of those people shapes you and keeps you focused. They’ve taught me everything I know and I continue to learn from them.
I am so deeply grateful.
And we are just getting started. I cannot wait to share what’s coming next.
