For reference my eyes are deep set with a slight hood (depending on the time of day or how much sleep I got 🙃)
Of course your tools matter. Using a liner that isn’t crazy wet and runs everywhere will be much easier. A liner with a super fine brush tip so that you have 100% control of where it’s going is also a necessity.

But I would love to hear your take on this? Should a MUA say yes to every client or should they stay in their lane & choose jobs that align with their brand and style? I think the latter.
Every artist is different, the same way every dress designer, restaurant, painter etc is different - we all have a style and going outside of this usually doesn’t result in a job either party is happy with.
Most consumers don’t have this train of thought, which is perfectly fine & understandable, and do assume that every artist will & should do whatever you ask of them.
When starting out, we are all finding our feet and acquiring our own style, so along the journey we say yes to everyone, which is precisely how we learn what we like, and what we don’t like.
The goal as an artist for me was to eventually be in a position to choose the client rather than being chosen.
Having the flexibility to be able to politely decline briefs that don’t align with my aesthetic is most creators’ dream.
