What a night! ✨ ARTSCCC is incredibly honored to have been the Nonprofit Partner for the Newsmakers Lesher Speaker Series, featuring the legendary Edward James Olmos.
We kicked off the evening with a wonderful reception in the Encore Room with ARTSCCC friends, family & partners. Getting to meet Mr. Olmos before he took the stage was a true highlight! A loving thank you to the friends, family, and partners who joined us; your presence made the occasion truly meaningful.
And finally, we extend our deepest gratitude to the Lesher Foundation for their continued support and for giving us a stage to highlight the impact of our community’s work.

Take a seat and soak in the local scenery. Today we’re highlighting the Functional Sculptures & Benches of Brentwood and Orinda. These unique pieces prove that public art can be as practical as it is eye-catching, giving us all a more colorful place to pause and recharge. 🎨🪑

The Youth Arts Connection Library Workshops are a safe space where youth build skills, develop relationships, and find their voices. Our incredible teaching artists are working hard to ensure that the young creatives they work with have the resources and professional pathways they need to thrive.
🎤Hear from the artists themselves as they share their experiences teaching poetry, music, & spoken-word, as well as their vision for the arts in Contra Costa County.

We are honored that ARTSCCC was featured on KTVU’s "Giving Back" segment earlier this week! It was a wonderful opportunity to share our vision and work in Contra Costa County with the wider Bay Area community.
Huge thanks to KTVU and the Lesher Newsmakers organizers for giving us this platform.
✨ This interview will be featured in person later this month at the Lesher Speaker Series, featuring special guest Edward James Olmos!

Last week’s Youth Arts Connection workshop at the Brentwood Library was a special one with visiting artist, CieraJevae Gordon!✍️🎨
It was such a treat for the youth and fellow artists to have Cici’s expertise and passion in the room. Cici is a vital part of the ARTSCCC family, usually serving as our Poetry Series Program Lead Workshop Artist, facilitating bi-monthly poetry and writing workshops at the Shasta Unit at the John A. Davis Juvenile Hall in Martinez. 📖
We are so grateful for the work she does to empower young voices through the power of the written word. Thank you for sharing your magic with us in Brentwood, Cici! 🌟
