BLÚ HONEY Short film Showing Saturday APRIL 25th 6-8pm ticket Above link in bio. BLÚ HONEY is a poetic short film that explores the horrors of the black male experience across 4 generations. On a mass exodus from the South towards North Richmond, infamously known as “Dodge City,” they were expecting to escape the burnings of Jim Crow but there appears to be something eerie following closely behind. 🎬 @razadeoro May be the last time I personally screen this film publicly so come through. how many bullets does it take to silence the jams of the trapped panther in search for knowledge or certain images of the lone soldier to be the wood side walk on the bridge of uncle sams lament. before the white man came ‘nd we sought to hold fast to hollow wood as kings of pain, when it was hands off on a birds word ‘nd the courtroom was not our freedom of express’ion

"When you provide space, people come." -Donté Clark 🌟 The Youth Arts Connection Library Workshops are a safe space where youth build skills, develop relationships, and find their voices. Our incredible teaching artists are working hard to ensure that the young creatives they work with have the resources and professional pathways they need to thrive. 🎤Hear from the artists themselves as they share their experiences teaching poetry, music, & spoken-word, as well as their vision for the arts in Contra Costa County. 🔗The full video, produced by @tony.tamayo can be found on our YouTube. ✨Follow the link in our bio to watch! ✨
