mādar brings together artists spanning generations and disciplines, from Bandar Abbas, Hormozgan, Iran to Brooklyn, New York, in a collective gesture of solidarity. While the bombing has temporarily paused, the situation remains precarious. Critical infrastructure has been damaged or destroyed, and millions — already burdened by years of economic crisis, inflation, and U.S. sanctions — face the threat of displacement, food insecurity, and long-term instability.
Curated by Melika Abikenari and Golnar Adili, mādar is a benefit exhibition and auction opening Friday, May 15 at 6 PM at CUE Art Foundation.
Contributed works will be available through a benefit auction supporting relief efforts through Moms Against Poverty and additional on-the-ground initiatives supporting people in Iran. The online auction launches with the opening reception and remains live through 11:59 PM EST on May 15.

mādar will remain on view through the weekend at CUE Art Foundation, 137 West 25th Street. Weekend gallery hours on Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17 are from 12–6 PM; no reservations are required.
