Meet Sadie Levine (@sadiesartthings ), an illustrator, cartoonist, and toymaker who traveled from Toronto to Providence to earn her MFA in Illustration at RISD. Having experienced the magic of the institution firsthand, she is thrilled to bring that same inspiration to teens in her upcoming Character Design course with CE. In this class, students explore the essentials of the craft—focusing on shape language, color theory, and silhouette—to build unique characters through a blend of practical instruction and lighthearted exercises. With character design at the heart of her professional practice, Sadie aims to foster original storytelling and hopes every student walks away with a lifelong love for art-making. Character Design with Sadie begins July 6 In-Person in Providence.
