ITS FINALLY HERE! Around 3 months ago @slidewreckdan and I decided that we wanted to see what it would be like to give back to the community, and share what we have learned over the past few years as industry professionals.
The guys over at @we.showandtell said, “hey we have a really dope idea for an event, you guys want to use this opportunity to teach?” It felt right, we couldn’t say no. So we decided to do a full scale lighting workshop this past November!
The event was a huge success. May I remind you, we SOLD OUT IN 24 HOURS! The amount of love, community, and real actionable information that was shared at this event was priceless.
It’s been a long time coming, but this is what we were able to capture at the workshop. We wanted the audience to leave with a full “creative piece” that can live on its own. We wanted to show not only the process of lighting, but what it looks like to direct a small crew to create something worth watching.
How do you think it came out? We decided to do a creative brand film for the clothing brand @4evf featuring @zyon.iman as our lead talent. We shot this in around 3 hours while also teaching a whole class at the same time. Feeling so grateful that we had this opportunity.
