The journey continues. 🔵

I first stepped onto a mat in early 2016 right after Nate choked out Conor (around the time of the middle picture) at the old UFC Gym at White Rock Lake, and
@rossvollmer showed me jiu jitsu 101. I met my current professor
@profjbautista shortly after and a whole crew of hardworking and dedicated martial artists.
•••
I loved all of it, but life has its different chapters, and that chapter closed and I fell off the martial arts path for years. Only popping in to an open mat and class every so often at
@marcelogarciadallas about once a year and listening to
@jockowillink podcast kept my desire to train alive, and I vowed to return one day.
•••
I finally did in 2022, and today jiu jitsu is a huge part of my life through
@144academy and the friends and training partners I am proud to share the mats with and the incredible community of
@wedefyfoundation which I’m honored to contribute to the mission through capturing and crafting video on their behalf.

Investing in jiu jitsu has truly changed my life and made me a better person, and introduced me to so many amazing individuals. I will continue to invest more time, energy, and effort into mat time, study time and the cerebral/physical learning journey that has given me amazing friends, mentors, and endlessly humbled me.
