In Loving Memory of JJ @jeanjacques_wallis 1989 – 2025
We were lucky enough to meet JJ for the first time under the towering limestone peaks of Tianmen Mountain, China, in September 2025 — the World Wingsuit League Grand Prix. That week he flew with a fire and precision none of us will ever forget, threading lines to claim the gold medal in Target Strike and become World Champion.
We watched him land, helmet off, that huge quiet smile spreading across his face, shaking hands with every competitor, already talking about how the next generation could fly even closer and safer. In those few days he became our champion, our teacher, and our friend — generous and humble.
Two short months later, on 25 November 2025, the wind over Lion’s Head called him home. At just 36, JJ left us doing what he was born to do: soaring free above the city and mountains he loved.

The skies are quieter tonight, but every pilot who takes off from Signal Hill, Tianmen, or anywhere wings catch wind will feel him riding alongside, pushing us to fly truer, braver, kinder.

The 11th World Wingsuit League was one to remember. Challenging weather and fierce competition made it an unforgettable event. Sixteen of the world’s best pilots raced toward the finish line, each chasing the fastest time. I'm proud to have taken the top spot once again—setting a new course record for the second year in a row - 23.554
