She’s more than a director. She’s a storyteller who brings both heart and humour to the screen. But that’s just one part of who she is.
Devika is a home decorator, cat mom (to two gorgeous cats), musician, artist, food lover, loud laugher, and full-time cloud enthusiast. She's the kind of person who cracks jokes, choreographs family dances, and finds beauty in trees, teacups, and vinyl records — even if she’s still working on her collection.
Professionally, her journey began at MTV, where she spent 4 years writing and directing films that challenged the status quo. Her Republic Day (2020) and Women’s Day (2021) films earned praise for their fresh, funny takes on serious topics and bagged her awards like the Promax Asia Rocket Award, Promax Asia Gold, Promax World Bronze, and two Kyoorius Elephants.
In 2022, she stepped into the world of freelancing, directing the now-iconic Zomato-Zomahto ad (with
@studio.ryde ) and collaborating with brands like Spotify, Netflix, Britannia, and Dream11. Today, she’s in-house with
@crazyfewfilms , crafting relatable, distinctive ads for brands like i-Pill, Surf Excel, Parle, Myntra, and McDonald’s. Her recent Myntra MNow film featuring
@sakshishivdasani and
@ayeshakanga ? Viral.
Whether it’s film, design, or the perfect cup of tea, Devika is always work-in-progress, always exploring. And that’s exactly what makes her work so full of life.
