We took @lowauk ’s Cevedale Pro GTX Mid boots for a winter adventure in the Cairngorms National Park, Scotland. 🏴
They were a great addition to our travels and definitely the most comfortable winter B2 style boots we’ve had the pleasure of wearing. 😍
The Cevedale Pro GTX Mid boots are designed as a modern, rugged, and dependable mountaineering boot for long days in Scotland or The Alps. Compatible with a semi-automatic crampon (C2). 🥾
We broke them in on a winter wonderland walk up to a frozen An Lochan Uaine in Glenmore Forest Park and then took them for a spin in the mountains on a hike up Cairn Gorm on a stunning bluebird winter day. It was a spectacular day where we got to test them with and without crampons once the snow became much more icy at higher altitudes. 🥶
If you’re looking for a comfortable winter B2 boot that gives you protection but space for your toes to move we’d highly recommend the Lowa Cevedale Pro GTX Mids for your feet. 👣
Thank me later! 👋

So you want to bag a steel trig? 🔼
I’ve got just the route for you in Moray, Scotland. 🏴
It starts at a car park in the pass below Ben Rinnes. This area is managed by the Friends of Ben Rinnes charity, so be sure to respect the area and always leave no trace. ⚠️
Its original Trig Point has been protected by a local group to keep it from crumbling for the next generation of hill / mountain baggers to enjoy with a stainless steel case. The summit has 360 views, it is the highest point in Moray and is a Scottish Corbett mountain. 🏔️
📍Ben Rinnes, 841m ✅
I hope you enjoy our photos from a lovely snowy February hike up there. Be sure to swipe through to see photos & the route we did on the @ordnancesurvey #OSMaps App. #OSchampion 📸

Frames from a short but sweet trip to Northumberland in a very dreary February, turns out every February is the same right? 🥶😅
On day one we started the trip by the coast for a stunningly moody sunrise at Dunstanburgh Castle, before heading to @ntcragside for a spectacular view shrouded in mist amongst the towering trees. 🌲🌫️
Day two we arrose in the dark forest of Kielder and went on the hunt for a rather mysterious face in the woods. We then explored the moody market town of Hexam, lots of great food & drink options here plus if you love vintage shopping or antiques this is the place to be in the North West seemingly. 🙌
A splendid trip but I never seem to get to spend enough time up in this part of England, it always feels like a fleeting visit. Having spent a lot of time in this area as a child I do think I’m long overdue due a longer trip here to retrace some steps and find some new places to explore, plus bag some Nuttalls of course! Maybe I’ll visit in summer when the weather is better though. 😅
Let me know your favourite spots in Northumberland I should definitely visit on my next trip. 🚐
I hope you enjoy these photos of our trip captured by me & @1hannahmitchell 📸

20 frames from our Valentine’s 2026 trip to Scotland. 🏴
We spent most of our time in and around the Cairngorms National Park. It was so magical seeing it with its winter coat on, the more we visit this area the more we fall in love with it. 💙
We can’t wait to revisit and bag some more Munros in the UK’s largest national park. 🏞️
Photos from our trip captured by us on @sonyunitedkingdom A74 & A7CR and a variety of different lenses ranging from 16mm to 400mm. These photos are just a quick snippet of what we got up to! We can’t wait to share more. 📸

One for the Lake District lovers. A super boggy part of the Far Eastern Fells where only true love will power you through it! Save this hike for your Valentine’s weekend, or a dry Summer’s day. ❤️
The start of this hike is at the end of a road that splits into green lanes. If you do visit, be sure not to block access or drive up the lane without the correct permit/vehicle. Park responsibly and always leave no trace. 🙌

I’ve put a screenshot of the route we did in this post from the @ordnancesurvey OS Maps app with the distance and elevation gain, just incase you want to bag these Nuttalls too. 🧭

Have you ever hiked in the Northern end of the Carneddau in Eryri National Park? 🏴
On this hike we bagged the Nuttalls of:
📍Craig Eigiau, 735m ✅
📍Foel Grach, 975m ✅
📍Garnedd Uchaf, 925m ✅
Now you may think “What is a Nuttall?”
The Nuttalls are a list of mountains in England & Wales created in 1989 by John & Anne Nuttall, the peaks are defined by the height of 2000ft (609.6m) with a prominence of 15m, there is currently officially 442. It was the first list of its kind for England & Wales but has seen simplified versions appear since the prominence threshold was set at 30m in 1994 for an “independent” peak, namely the Hewitts, and the Simms which were created in 2011 to cover the whole of Britain including Ireland. 600m is generally considered the height at which a landform in the UK is defined a mountain. ⛰️
I picked the Nuttalls list a few years ago as I enjoyed thinking of it as a challenge that would take me all the way from Dartmoor in the south of England, up through the whole of Wales, the Pennines, Lake District right up to Northumberland and the Border with Scotland to summit peaks and see places I wouldn’t visit otherwise. It’s been great so far and although not all Nuttall summits are equal in their splendour it’s given my hikes and travels a bit of purpose over the last few years which I have loved. 🥰
This day in particular was a stunning winter day in the mountains. I hope you enjoy these photos shot on the @sony.unitedkingdom A7CR & A7IV by me and @1hannahmitchell 📸
Do you follow any particular hill/summit lists that you are bagging? Let me know in the comments. ☺️

Have you ever seen Glencoe with its winter layer on? 🥶
This was such a mad stop off at a very moody Wee White House, the cloud that consumed Buachaille Etive Mòr, the sleet was rough at times but we had a great time as always. 🌨️
📍 Lagangarbh Hut, Highland 🏴
10/10 recommend stopping off here in all conditions but it was truly magical seeing it like this. ❄️
Photos in this set were shot on a @sony.unitedkingdom A74 with a @sigmauk 24-70mm F2.8 Art & a @djiglobal Air 2S drone. 📷
