Happy #NationalDogDay to among the many wonderful dogs I continue to encounter in the last 8 months! Thank you always whenever @sunny_saints stops by @petsuppliespluslb I hope to support and attend more of @sunny_saints events. These Saint Bernards I met are examples of how much Saints indeed are among if not THE best! Back March during one of @huntleycollegeofagriculture career networking events, I had the pleasure to meeting one of then @cpplivestockshowteam member’s dog, he was so affectionate. Same day, I had the pleasure of visiting @zooclubcpp and @cpp.animalhealthscience collab club meeting hosting San Bernardino County’s Department of Agriculture where one of their dogs were there I loved such opportunity! Thank you finally but never the least to @arcadiapolicek9 for having Kopper out. I live any and every event to meet such pawesome bloodhounds and a huge thanks afterwards to @arcadiapolicefoundation for saving a plush Kopper bloodhound! I am thankful for such opportunities and events, especially to attend @arcadiapd @arcadiacagov National Night Out. Would be super nice to see more bloodhounds throughout more Late Enforcement agencies! This inspires me to want to be a K-9 handler myself!

The College of Science Lecture Series presents: Healthy Cities: What insects tell us about urban living Tuesday, November 9, 5-6 p.m. Register: bit.ly/Lecture-Beasley DeAnna E. Beasley will discuss how her life experiences informed her research interests in urban and insect ecology and how she engages students in that research. Dr. DeAnna E. Beasley is an assistant professor at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in the Biology, Geology, and Environmental Science (BGE) department. She received her Ph.D. in 2013 at the University of South Carolina. Her research broadly explores the impacts of environmental change on development, behavior, and physiology in insect model systems. Human-driven change is of particular interest due to the large scale in which humans have modified the environment and the potential effects on populations’ evolutionary trajectory. Her current research explores the implications of urbanization on insect development and biodiversity. Additionally, she is interested in the integration of social and ecological processes to understand urban biodiversity and the development of resilient cities. The College of Science Lecture Series is designed to be of interest to all science disciplines and showcases diversity and excellence in the sciences.
