@pem______ ‘s wonderful new EP - 𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒘𝒂𝒚𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 is out today!

With this EP, Pem has pushed the textural and world building aspect to her work and elevated her rare vocal agility. She continues to balance poignant storytelling and unfiltered vulnerability with her raw and hypnotic voice. It is inspired by her work as a gardener.
She explains “I moved house 7 times last year but returned to the same gardens every week. This is a portrait of my time spent attending the natural world, it’s rhythms and cycles of change. At the time i was thinking about “belonging” and “rootlessness” and would mumble melodies to myself with secateurs in hand”.

I’m v obsessed with astronomy and this song is about syzygy (when three celestial bodies like the sun, moon and earth align in a near straight line during an eclipse). I like that idea of perfect but fleeting alignment BUT ALSO tomorrow is the biggest and brightest super moon of the year and that is nice and perfect yes??
