We deployed the @shining3d Libra to evaluate its performance on this standout build from @radiusfabrication , focusing specifically on branding geometry, surface transitions, and the high-saturation blue finish. 💙
The objective for this session wasn’t full-body digitisation — it was a controlled technical test to assess how accurately the Libra handles colour-dominant surfaces, reflective clearcoat, and complex decal edges.
The results were impressive. The scanner maintained stable tracking across curved panels, resolved the branding contours cleanly, and reproduced the colour boundaries with high fidelity.
A clear reminder that precision scanning isn’t just about shape — it’s about capturing the details that define the build.
In that domain, not all scanners perform the same.

While at the @4x4show in Brisbane, we had the opportunity to test out the @shining3d Libre 3d scanner supplied by @zero3d_engineering .
No cables, no sprays, no markers, no laptop just grab and go flexibility.
We scanned up the front end and engine bay of @joshgreen99 's 80 series land crusier on the last day of the @brunette_driven and @drivengarage_ live build capturing the bad ass 80 series, @radiusfabrication new front bar and @kchilites_aust spot lights. Black, and reflective areas were no issues for it keeping tracking via features the whole time while in blue laser mode. 👌🏽

The @genyhitch_aust 's Chev 2500 HD from @toughtrucksaustralia has some of the best products already fitted to it, however we think there’s a few more we can develop in the near distant future for it.

@brunette_driven 's GU patrol roof was looking a little bare like my head 🤣, so we got the @shining3d Libre wireless portable all in one 3d scanner supplied by @zero3d_engineering and scanned up the roof to see what it would look like with a new roof rack design on it.
