Step inside the workshop of Supercars driver Bryce Fullwood as Brad from Zero3D demonstrates how professional handheld 3D scanning technology is used to capture one of Bryce’s project cars in precise digital detail.
Using a high-precision 3D scanner, Brad scans the vehicle to generate an accurate digital 3D mesh model of the car. This process captures the geometry of the vehicle in real-world scale, allowing the car to be measured, analysed, and replicated digitally.
For builders, engineers, fabricators, and motorsport teams, 3D scanning provides major advantages including:
• Accurate digital measurement of complex surfaces
• Reverse engineering parts and components
• Planning custom fabrication and modifications
• Creating CAD references for design work
By converting a physical vehicle into a precise digital model, workshops and builders can design parts, test fitments, and plan upgrades with far greater efficiency and accuracy.
