Stills from the installation of IT CAN HAPPEN HERE last month in Los Angeles. This month ICE is expanding at airports across the country. Stay alert and stay in community with one another. x — IT CAN HAPPEN HERE is a series of photographic works that bear witness to a moment of heightened fear and uncertainty in America. Rooted in the streets of Los Angeles, the work confronts the demand for justice and the rage embedded in the American psyche. Through immersive projections and combative symbolism—IT CAN HAPPEN HERE reflects the stark binaries of political polarization in a nation on a knife’s edge. — Special shout out to Thomas Noya @tsnoya who coded the generative work from our collaborative CYMATIC which was projected throughout the show.

ART FORUM Nov 2025 Issue // Fugitive Processes: The Materiality of Photography — Proud to see three full pages of my darkroom wet plate collodion work created in collaboration with Casey Reas @reas in Art Forum @artforum — “By introducing GAN imagery to this early photographic process, we staged an encounter between two paradigms: the capture of light on a sensitized plate and the computational generation of form from data.“ — Art Forum article link in bio

ART BASEL MIAMI BEACH it was an incredible honor to show among the greats, see so many familiar faces, meet so many new connections and widen the circle. — The two new pieces at @artbasel are Technical Image 6 + Technical Image 7 They are a part of an ongoing collaboration between myself and @reas Casey Reas. Reas is a pioneer in computer programming, co-founding Processing which has redefined how artists engage with code. Together we have been exploring the conversation around how GANs, code, and machine learning relate to the history of analog photography by challenging the boundaries of synthetic and organic data. — Bitforms Gallery @bitforms Art Basel Miami Beach 2025 Zero 10 Sector Booth Z12

KILL CITY is a love letter to life and death in Los Angeles. Street level photographs of mixed methods on 35mm analog film are burned in flames. Reality is centered, with unexpected beauty found in the damaged capture. Shot in the trenches, this collection is direct exposure of over a decade in the 2010s and early 2020s in Los Angeles. It spans uprisings, subcultures, chaos, kink, and spirituality while remaining a celebration of the will to overcome physical and psychological vulnerability. KILL CITY’s hard edge melts perception and technique to offer a unique embodiment of life in LA. — There are a few copies left of the 150 page collection in a signed + numbered book available at the link in bio or in Los Angeles at @superchiefgalleryla — Made with the support of @superchiefgalleryla @postmixfilmlab @cinestillfilm
