New music! ‘No Photos Allowed’ out now on Bandcamp & SoundCloud. Trying out some new platforms for independent artists, so it’s up on @catalogworks & @ninaprotocol as well. All links up in the bio.
The debut project under my new moniker, Z.D.M, No Photos Allowed is a five-track journey designed for the dance floor — hypnotic, harmonic, and driving. It draws inspiration from a formative trip to Berlin, where I immersed myself in the city’s legendary club culture: endless nights, perfectly tuned rooms, and no one scrolling — just people moving together, for hours, for the music. The title nods to that ethos. In places where cameras are covered, you’re not performing — you’re present. No distractions. No posing. Just rhythm, light, and release.
Track 12 - Days Get Longer. Another personal favorite off of my new beat tape Seasonal Shift.
This loop caught my ear, specifically the guitar lick. It’s pretty dense sample so not a ton of room mix-wise to add many more elements. I programmed some drums and layered in some percussion to fill up the empty space. The turnaround every 8 bars helps keep it fresh and more and more elements build each time. Check out the full project on Bandcamp.

Track 2 and the title track of my new beat tape Seasonal Shift.
I found this cool section of the sample and looped the guitar chords which repeat throughout. I layered it with a chopped up break that I had loaded on my Sp-404. The drums are so full and punchy they sat nicely over the loop without much processing. This is one of my favorites beats on the project and showed me you don’t always need a ton of elements to set the vibe.

New beat tape ‘Seasonal Shift’ out now on Bandcamp.
I’ve been sitting on these beats for a while. Most of these ideas started taking shape while I was finishing up No Time To Overthink, and in a lot of ways, this project feels like a continuation—or maybe a sequel—to that one.
This is my latest batch of beats, loops, and sketches, all crafted on my SP-404. Lately, I’ve been shifting my focus back toward electronic and club music, and this might end up being the last moirésun release for a while. I’m working on a new project that better fits where my sound is heading.

David Lynch was a creative force from film to TV to music and fine art. The Club Silencio scene in Mulholland Drive was the inspiration for my last EP. That single scene sparked my imagination and I essentially wanted to create my own soundscape for it. R.I.P. to the legend 🕊️🕊️
Happy @bandcamp Friday to those who celebrate.

@itsdjkrucial and I spent the afternoon chillin on the back deck, drinking Hamm’s and spinning some of our favorite tunes at the moment. The result is the second installment of CTRLD BURN. It’s 90-minutes of music spanning a multitude of genres. Recorded on a beautiful, sunny summer day in Chicago. Live now on SoundCloud. We hope you enjoy ✌️
